Radio Guesthouse – Weather

There’s a pandemic session storm a brewing. Dip in for a meteorological mystery tour of Japanese minimalism, 80’s pop, chillwave, jazz, ambient drifts, psychedelia and Scottish poetry (really).

This project was started when Mark Broadbent returned back to Ibiza after an extended trip in Asia to be confronted with the Corona pandemic lockdown of winter 2020 and was finally able to find the time to put into operation a project that he had had in mind for some years whilst travelling the globe listening to other peoples musical choices in the guest houses he found himself in.

Radio Guesthouse – The Pandemic Sessions – An ongoing soundtrack experiment series that took place in the ethers between two long term friends on two separate islands at other sides of the world. Mark in Ibiza, Spain & David Hinchliffe. Ibiza, Spain in Koh Chang, Thailand…

About Radio Guesthouse

For Mark Broadbent, having programmed music professionally for festival stages and nightclubs for well over twenty years this was more often than not a very trying experience. So the idea was to collate the perfect guest house soundtrack that anybody could access anywhere in the world at any time of day or night. And find the best music to fit the scene they found themselves in.

Most of the selections in this series are themed and accompanied with a short description more often than not written by Dave Hinchliffe.
