Re-OpenLab: Bedouin’s Saga Radio revisits their weekly live shows broadcast on OpenLab.fm last summer, featuring DJ sets that blend a variety of electronic music styles. The show is curated by Bedouin, a DJ and producer duo known for their eclectic mix of house, techno, and world music influences. The broadcasts often served as a prelude to their live events at Pacha Ibiza, creating an immersive audio experience that mirrors their club performances.

Each episode of Bedouin’s Saga Radio features guest mixes from renowned DJs and producers. Guests include The Soul Brothers, Francesca Lombardo, Dennis Cruz, and Guy Laliberté to name a few. These sessions showcase a mix of original tracks, remixes, and exclusive releases, offering you a unique musical journey every week.

So without any further ado, here’s re-OpenLab Bedouin’s Saga Radio Revisited 02 featuring a 2-hour mix from Paris-based duo Birds of Mind.

About Bedouin:

Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe, both of Middle Eastern descent, formed Bedouin in 2014. Their partnership was born out of a shared passion for music and a desire to create something new and distinct in the electronic music genre. The name “Bedouin” reflects their nomadic approach to music, constantly exploring and integrating different sounds and styles.

Bedouin’s music is characterized by a fusion of electronic beats with traditional instruments and vocals, creating a sound that is both innovative and deeply rooted in diverse cultural traditions. Their tracks often feature haunting melodies, intricate rhythms, and a seamless blend of organic and electronic elements. This eclectic mix has earned them a reputation for producing music that appeals to a wide range of listeners.

The duo draws inspiration from their cultural heritage and experiences. This is evident in their music, which often incorporates elements from Middle Eastern, African, and Latin American musical traditions. Their ability to weave these diverse influences into a cohesive sound has set them apart in the electronic music scene.

Bedouin’s live performances are a significant aspect of their appeal. They have performed at major music festivals and venues around the world, including Burning Man, Coachella, and Tomorrowland. In addition to their performances and releases, Bedouin has also curated the successful event series “Saga” in Ibiza. Launched in 2017, Saga has become a staple of the Ibiza nightlife scene, known for its eclectic line-ups and vibrant atmosphere. The 2024 residency (which is already underway) continues until October 2nd and continues to feature performances from a wide range of artists, further solidifying their reputation as tastemakers in the electronic music community.
